Volleyball Recap: Marian Catholic Comes Up Short

Marian Catholic lost against Homewood-Flossmoor back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Spartans fell 2-0 to the Vikings. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their offense was headlined by David Barlow and Carter Knueppel, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Jack O'Shea and his 12 assists.

Marian Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, the win keeps they at an undefeated 12-0.

Marian Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Lake Central on the 12th. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Morton on the 12th.
