Basketball Recap: Sauk Rapids-Rice Takes a Loss

Sauk Rapids-Rice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt an 86-19 loss at the hands of the Moorhead Spuds. While losing is never fun, the Storm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Spuds are ranked 139th).

Sauk Rapids-Rice's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Moorhead, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-8.

While Sauk Rapids-Rice had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
