Volleyball Recap: Perquimans' Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Perquimans entered their tilt with Northeastern on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Pirates, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Perquimans took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-2, 25-10, 25-14.

Morgan Byrum paced Perquimans' offense, picking up 14 kills. Byrum got some help from Eleanor Howell and her 16 assists. Kaydee Hunter controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Perquimans' victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Northeastern, they dropped their record down to 2-3 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Perquimans will challenge Rosewood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Northeastern, they will square off against Camden County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
