Baseball Recap: West Memphis Comes Up Short

West Memphis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They came up short against the Searcy Lions, falling 12-2. That's two games in a row now that the Blue Devils have lost by exactly ten runs.

West Memphis saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Kuhn, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Cayden Wynn also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

West Memphis' loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Searcy, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-8.

Coming up, West Memphis will challenge Dyersburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Blue Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Searcy, they will head out on the road to challenge Sylvan Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
