Baseball Game Preview: Robinson Knights vs. Cambridge Christian Lancers

The Robinson Knights will take on the Cambridge Christian Lancers at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Robinson will be strutting in after a win while Cambridge Christian will be coming in after a loss.

Robinson barely beat Hillsborough the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Robinson put the hurt on Hillsborough with a sharp 7-1 victory on Monday. Considering the Knights have won four matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Angelo Rivera tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

At the plate, Tyson Boyd was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Cason Cooper was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Cambridge Christian came up short against Steinbrenner on Monday and fell 11-7.

Luca Gonzalez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

The win snapped Robinson's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-6 record. As for Cambridge Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
