Basketball Game Preview: Peru Nighthawks vs. Ticonderoga Sentinels

The Peru Nighthawks will venture away from home to take on the Ticonderoga Sentinels at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ticonderoga took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Peru, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with 13 defeats in a row dating back to last season, Peru turned things around against AuSable Valley last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 46-35.

Jordan Osborne was the offensive standout of the match as he went 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Sweeney, who posted ten points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Ticonderoga was beaten by Saranac Lake 60-33 on Wednesday. The Sentinels have struggled against the Red Storm recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Ticonderoga's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Peru, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-9.

Peru didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Ticonderoga in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 38-34 victory.
