Baseball Game Preview: Midlothian Heritage Jaguars vs. University Trojans

For the second straight game, Midlothian Heritage will face off against University. The Jaguars will take on the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Midlothian Heritage has ten straight wins, University has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Midlothian Heritage is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They put the hurt on University with a sharp 8-2 victory. Considering the Jaguars have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Midlothian Heritage got a great performance from Alex Miner as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Miner has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bailey Huber was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Brayden Abila also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Midlothian Heritage hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive games.

Midlothian Heritage's record now sits at 23-6. As for University, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-11.
