Baseball Recap: Bridgewater-Raynham Comes Up Short

After flying high against Dartmouth on Wednesday, Bridgewater-Raynham came back down to earth. The Trojans came up short against the Milton Wildcats on Friday, falling 11-4. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Trojans, who until this contest were averaging 4.07 runs allowed.

Max Jackson was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Capiello, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

Bridgewater-Raynham has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season. As for Milton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Bridgewater-Raynham will venture away from home to challenge Barnstable at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Milton, they will head out to square off against Framingham at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
