South Albany's game  on Monday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the McKay Royal Scots as they made off with  a  14-6 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Redhawks' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
 Maddie Angel was  incredible,  going 3-for-5 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  RBI. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Emily Tschida, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and two  RBI.
 South Albany was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .395. They are 4-2 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
South Albany's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for McKay,  they are  on  a  12-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-12.
 Looking ahead, South Albany will square off against Dallas at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Dragons will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something the Redhawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for McKay, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Corvallis  at 4:30  p.m. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.64  runs per game on average), something the Royal Scots will no doubt try to take advantage of.
