After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Edison Academy, Southeastern was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Pershing Doughboys a 22-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Jungaleers in their matchups with the Doughboys: they've now won seven in a row.

The victory got Southeastern back to even at 1-1. As for Pershing, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Southeastern and Pershing will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Jungaleers are set to take on their familiar foe King at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pershing will face off against rival Denby at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
