Basketball Recap: Piscataquis Takes a Loss

Piscataquis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 42-36 heartbreaker at the hands of the Penquis Valley Patriots. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 39-33.

Piscataquis' defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Penquis Valley, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Piscataquis will venture away from home to challenge Stearns at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Penquis Valley, they will take on Penobscot Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
