Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Abilene walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Birdville Hawks on Thursday. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.

At the plate, Makayla Gutierrez was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Germanie Williams, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
