Recap: Nevada Cubs vs. Perry Bluejays
Even though the Perry Bluejays scored an imposing 74 points on Friday, the Nevada Cubs still came out on top. Nevada walked away with a 81-74 victory over Perry. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Nevada also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Perry's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Drake Levan, who scored 23 points along with 6 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Zander Mahler, who scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds.
Nevada's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Perry, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
Nevada will be playing at home against Iowa Falls-Alden at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Perry, they will head out on the road to face off against Roland-Story at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
