Softball Recap: Millbrook Takes a Loss

Millbrook lost to James Wood on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pioneers fell just short of the Colonels by a score of 3-1. The contest marked the Pioneers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Millbrook has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for James Wood, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Colonels beat Millbrook by a score of 3-1 later that day.
