Volleyball Recap: Washburn's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Washburn had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Hancock County Indians with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

While Washburn won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-23, 25-14.

Abigail Epperson paced Washburn's offense, picking up 12 kills. Epperson got some help from Kylie Ferguson and her 23 assists. Ferguson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Washburn's win bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Hancock County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-7.

Coming up, Washburn will face off against Cherokee at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hancock County, they will head out to square off against Grainger at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
