Recap: Lisbon Broncos vs. Wahpeton Huskies
The Lisbon Broncos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight defeat. They were beaten by Wahpeton 55-25. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lisbon has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Lisbon still got an impressive performance from Emerson Schultz, who scored ten points.
Lisbon struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Lisbon's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Wahpeton, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lisbon will take on the Hi-Liners at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Valley City presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Broncos in North Dakota (the Hi-Liners are ranked 23rd, while the Broncos are ranked 89th). As for Wahpeton, they will be playing at home against the Squirrels at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
