Winfield was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against the Nitro Wildcats by a score of 6-2. The victory continues a trend for the Generals in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won six in a row.

Preston Keiffer and Brody Ilderton made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Keiffer pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Meanwhile, Ilderton pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. At the plate, Keiffer went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs, while Ilderton went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave Ilderton a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ean Cox, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Brayson Downey was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
