Soccer Game Preview: Salesian College Preparatory vs. El Cerrito

The Salesian College Preparatory Pride will challenge the El Cerrito Gauchos at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Salesian College Preparatory's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Salesian College Preparatory turned things around against Miramonte on Saturday. They never let the Matadors onto the board and left with a 1-0 win. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Pride were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, El Cerrito was forced to settle for a draw. They and Richmond finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

Salesian College Preparatory's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9-4. El Cerrito's draw gives them a new season record of 7-2-1.

Salesian College Preparatory came up short against El Cerrito in their previous meeting on January 10th, falling 2-0. Can Salesian College Preparatory avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
