Soccer Recap: Spartanburg Takes a Loss

Spartanburg came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 6-1 to the Riverside Warriors. Spartanburg have struggled against Riverside recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Spartanburg's goal came courtesy of Mario Ymeri, who's now up to two this season.

Spartanburg's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Riverside, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spartanburg will square off against Gaffney at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Spartanburg is facing Gaffney at the right time seeing as Gaffney is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Riverside, they will challenge Dorman at 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
