Charles Goodman put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in February on Saturday. He struck out two batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Goodman and Valencia will be playing in front of their home fans against Newbury Park at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
