After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Cedar Key brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Wildwood Wildcats a 21-0 shutout on Monday. The Sharks' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

With the win, Cedar Key broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4. As for Wildwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Cedar Key will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ocala Christian at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Wildwood, they will head out on the road to square off against Eastside at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastside is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
