Football Recap: Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Fremont Eagles and fell 48-10. The Braves just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Despite the loss, Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian still got an impressive performance from Cruz Rothenbush, who picked up 93 receiving yards and one TD. Rothenbush showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 53 yards.

Fremont got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaret Laughlin out in front who rushed for 214 yards and a pair of scores on only 15 carries, and also threw for 83 yards and two touchdowns. Laughlin is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Carmyne Moreno was another key player, gaining 121 total yards and three touchdowns.

Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Fremont, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fremont, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 28-19 victory against Triton on the 31st.
