South Lake is 7-2 against Center Line since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The South Lake Cavaliers will take on the Center Line Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

South Lake saw some tournament action on Wednesday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 53-52 victory over Chandler Park Academy. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cavaliers.

Meanwhile, Center Line was able to grind out a solid win over Eastpointe on Wednesday, taking the game 51-41. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 193rd in Michigan, while the Shamrocks are ranked 472nd in Michigan), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Lake better keep an eye on TE'REZ HOLMES. He was instrumental in Center Line's win, dropping a double-double with 29 points and 15 boards. HOLMES has become a key player for Center Line: the team is 16-4 when he posts at least eight rebounds, but 1-2 otherwise. KAMEREN HIGGINBOTHAM was another key player, putting up five points along with five assists and five boards.

South Lake's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Center Line, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

South Lake came up short against Center Line when the teams last played on February 6th, falling 62-57. Can South Lake avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
