Basketball Recap: Wonewoc-Center Comes Up Short

Wonewoc-Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the Kickapoo Panthers, falling 74-44. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 477th, while the Panthers are ranked 217th).

Wonewoc-Center's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Kickapoo, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Wonewoc-Center will challenge Royall at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Royall knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Wonewoc-Center likes a good challenge. As for Kickapoo, they will venture away from home to challenge Wauzeka-Steuben at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
