Softball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Mountain View's offense. They lost 16-0 to the San Elizario Eagles on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 22 runs in the game before, the Lobos' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Mountain View saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jenny Torres, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Mountain View has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for San Elizario, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-17-1.

Coming up, Mountain View will venture away from home to square off against Clint at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for San Elizario, they will host Fabens at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
