Softball Recap: Shelton Comes Up Short

Shelton suffered their biggest defeat since April 26, 2024 on Wednesday. They came up short against the Mercy Tigers, falling 9-3. The Gaels haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Tori Silva was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Chayse DellaRocco was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Shelton's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Mercy, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Shelton will welcome Sheehan at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Mercy, they are taking a road trip to take on Hillhouse at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
