Oldenburg Academy and Rushville are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2019, but not for long. The Twisters will be playing at home against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rushville took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Oldenburg Academy, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Oldenburg Academy made easy work of Waldron and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Twisters in their matchups with the Mohawks: they've now won four in a row.

One reason for the win was Oldenburg Academy's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-17.

Lillian Vanderpohl was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 14 digs and two aces.

Meanwhile, Rushville came up short against Connersville on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-13, 19-25, 25-18.

Rushville's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Oldenburg Academy, their win bumped their record up to 20-5.

Everything went Oldenburg Academy's way against Rushville in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Oldenburg Academy made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Twisters repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
