Baseball Recap: Yoakum Comes Up Short

Yoakum lost against Palacios back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Sharks by a score of 2-1.

Trae Cuellar made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Garrett Green, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Yoakum has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9-1 record this season. As for Palacios, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.

While Yoakum had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
