Soccer Recap: Davidson Day Comes Up Short

Davidson Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Winston Salem Christian Lions. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Davidson Day couldn't quite close it out.

Davidson Day's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Winston Salem Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5-2 record this season.

Davidson Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Winston Salem Christian, they will take on Youngsville Academy Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
