They blew past Brookfield 57-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Newton Falls has posted yet this season.
Newton Falls was led to victory by Carson Howard and Jabriel Rufai. Howard scored 22 points, while Rufai scored 18 points along with six rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Howard has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Zach Stinson, who scored three points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Newton Falls' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Brookfield, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newton Falls won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Southeast at 2:15 p.m. on January 13th. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Garrett Sprutte and Rufai. As for Brookfield, they will head out on the road to challenge Garfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
