Northwestern and Waynedale pushed the score to 8-2 the last time they played Waynedale, but on Saturday defenses reigned supreme. The Huskies walked away with a 2-0 win over the Golden Bears. Northwestern haven't had any issues with Waynedale recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Keagan Kostohryz and Mario Rodriguez scored both of Northwestern's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.

Northwestern's win bumped their record up to 8-3-1. As for Waynedale, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1.

Coming up, Northwestern will face off against Canton South at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Waynedale, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Chippewa at 7:30 p.m. on October 7.
