White County will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
On Thursday, White County didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Livingston Academy, but they still walked away with a 54-49 victory. Given White County's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while Livingston Academy is ranked 41st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Celeste Reed, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bella Winingham, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Signal Mountain beat Soddy Daisy 43-31 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Signal Mountain.
White County pushed their record up to 26-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Signal Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which somehow isn't as good as their 14-4 record this season.
White County was able to grind out a solid win over Signal Mountain when the teams last played back in December of 2018, winning 59-49. Will White County repeat their success, or does Signal Mountain have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
