Basketball Recap: Walton-Verona Takes a Loss

Walton-Verona was the 60-35 winner over Grant County when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Walton-Verona Bearcats fell 54-43 to the Grant County Braves on Monday.

Walton-Verona's loss dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Grant County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.

Walton-Verona does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grant County, they will face off against Simon Kenton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Simon Kenton comes in on three and Grant County on five.
