Volleyball Recap: Westside Wolves vs. Lamar Texans
After flying high against Nimitz last Friday, Westside came back down to earth. The Westside Wolves fell 3-1 to the Lamar Texans on Tuesday. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Texans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.
Westside took a 1-0 lead headed into the second set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-6, 25-16, 25-19.
Westside's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Lamar, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.
Westside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss vs. Bellaire on the 13th. Lamar has also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Wisdom on the 13th.
