Baseball Recap: Abundant Life Comes Up Short

Abundant Life kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Union Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 13-12. The Owls were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Noah Thomas put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Thomas was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, Abundant Life got a massive performance out of Joshua Tice, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Cooper Woodyard, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Coming up, Abundant Life will face off against Maumelle Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Union Christian Academy has already played their next contest (against Trinity Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
