Baseball Recap: Girard Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Girard won the last time they faced Salem and things went their way on Monday too. The Indians came out on top against the Quakers by a score of 11-6. With that win, the Indians brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Will Hynes, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 4-for-5. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Zach Ward, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

Girard was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2024.

Girard pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
