Volleyball Recap: Greenwood Eagles vs. Mauldin Mavericks
Greenwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Mauldin Mavericks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.
While Greenwood was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Mauldin's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 25-18.
Mauldin can attribute much of their success to Sarina Galyean, who had 11 kills and five digs. Galyean is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in the last ten games she's played.
