Basketball Recap: Adams Comes Up Short

Adams was the 64-40 winner over Avondale when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Adams Highlanders took a 54-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Avondale Yellowjackets. While losing is never fun, the Highlanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 82nd).

This is the second loss in a row for Adams and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for Avondale, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Adams will be home for the holidays to greet North Farmington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Avondale, they will venture away from home to take on Ferndale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
