Football Recap: Jj Detz's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Wallkill over Our Lady of Lourdes

Wallkill played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 50-30 to the Our Lady of Lourdes Warriors. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.

Wallkill lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jj Detz, who threw for 226 yards and three touchdowns. Ayden Larue got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Wallkill is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. As for Our Lady of Lourdes, they moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wallkill will square off against Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Presidents' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.17 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Our Lady of Lourdes, they will take on Beacon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
