It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Landrum ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Chesnee Eagles 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Landrum were the better team in the second half.

Vine Stanton and Hector Gomez scored both of Landrum's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Landrum now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Chesnee, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
