Soccer Game Preview: Buena Vista vs. Millard North

The Buena Vista Bison will challenge the Millard North Mustangs at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Buena Vista is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Papillion-LaVista South just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Millard North). They put the hurt on Westview with a sharp 8-1 victory on Tuesday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Millard North's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska soccer rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Westview are ranked 60th).

Millard North's offense was hitting Westview from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Amir Muhitdinov led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Millard North pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three matchups. As for Buena Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
