Basketball Recap: LeRoy Comes Up Short

LeRoy lost against Tremont last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The match between the LeRoy Panthers and the Tremont Turks didn't end well, with the LeRoy Panthers falling 67-53. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 304th, while the Turks are ranked 134th).

LeRoy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season. As for Tremont, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-4.

LeRoy will square off against Ridgeview at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tremont, they are taking a road trip to challenge Eureka at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eureka will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Tremont surely won't give up without a fight.
