Soccer Recap: Christian Life Comes Up Short

Christian Life was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Genoa-Kingston Cogs, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Christian Life can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 380th, while Genoa-Kingston are ranked 140th).

Christian Life's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Genoa-Kingston, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Christian Life didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-0 loss against Rosary on the 12th. As for Genoa-Kingston, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 5-0 victory against Hinckley-Big Rock on the 12th.
