Football Recap: Four Straight Home Victories for Kittatinny Regional

It was a proper cat-fight when Kittatinny Regional challenged Dover on Saturday. The Cougars put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 43-19 win. The Cougars pushed the score to 35-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers cut but never quite recovered from.

Kittatinny Regional had a senior duo take command as Niko Martinez gained 171 total yards and Jack Brex threw for 209 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes. Martinez's longest reception was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total. Vinny Falchetta also helped out with an impressive 85 receiving yards.

Kittatinny Regional pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.5 points over those games. As for Dover, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Kittatinny Regional wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-7 victory against Wallkill Valley on the 1st. As for Dover, they have also already played their next contest, a 33-8 defeat against Manchester Regional on the 30th.
