Valley Heights extended their losing streak to five on Monday, dropping their season record down to 3-11 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the Blue Valley Rams. On the bright side, the 12- run performance marked the Mustangs' highest-scoring match to date.

Charlie Warders was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. James Bohlken also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

As for Blue Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since May 9, 2024.

On Blue Valley's side, the team relied heavily on Brayden Innes, who went 4-for-5 with four RBI, two doubles, and one triple. Those four hits gave Innes a new career-high. Rawley Sump was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Heights will venture away from home to take on Republic County at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Blue Valley, they will head out to face off against Onaga at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
