Preview: Cinnaminson Pirates vs. Trenton Catholic Academy
The Cinnaminson Pirates will be playing at home against Trenton Catholic Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Cinnaminson sitting on five straight wins and Trenton Catholic Academy on four.
Last Friday, Cinnaminson was able to grind out a solid victory over Northern Burlington, taking the game 55-48. Given Cinnaminson's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while Northern Burlington is ranked 399th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, even though Doane Academy scored an imposing 61 points on Friday, Trenton Catholic Academy still came out on top. Trenton Catholic Academy took their game against Doane Academy 69-61.
Cinnaminson's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.4 points per game. As for Trenton Catholic Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
