Basketball Recap: Overlea Comes Up Short

Overlea played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 49-21 loss at the hands of the Carver A&T Wildcats. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carver A&T to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elisah Guity, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Carrington, who had 11 points.

Overlea's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-1. As for Carver A&T, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Overlea will welcome Loch Raven at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Carver A&T, they will host Sparrows Point at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
