Pike waltzed into their game on Thursday with 15 straight wins... but they left with 16. They came out on top against the Decatur Central Hawks by a score of 71-59. The Red Devils pushed the score to 55-32 by the end of the third, a deficit the Hawks cut but never quite recovered from.

Pike's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Komari Booker led the charge by dropping a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. What's more, Booker posted two blocks, the most she's had since back in February of 2025. Marley Jeffers was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 16 boards.

Pike smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 19 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Pike's win bumped their record up to 17-1. As for Decatur Central, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-9.

Pike has already played their next contest, a 71-53 victory against Ben Davis on the 17th. As for Decatur Central, they will square off against Greenwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
