Football Game Preview: North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights vs. Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys

The North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights will head out to take on the Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Raleigh Christian Academy has given up an average of 31.5 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, North Raleigh Christian Academy lost to Harrells Christian Academy at home by a 41-23 margin. While the Knights didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Crusaders 17-6 in the first quarter.

Despite the defeat, North Raleigh Christian Academy got top-tier performance from Davin McCoy, who rushed for 174 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. The Knights are 2-1 when McCoy posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

North Raleigh Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Matthew Finster and Tyler Jones-Horne. Micah Finnicum was another major factor on D, making 13 total tackles.

Meanwhile, Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 35-16 to Parry McCluer.

Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
