Wesley Chapel is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over Lecanto. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Jack Dorr looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sean Roche, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Hartley, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Cypress Creek entered their tilt with River Ridge on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Royal Knights.
Colton Burrmann looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Jason Olds was excellent, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Wesley Chapel's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Cypress Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Wesley Chapel has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Cypress Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Wesley Chapel couldn't quite get it done against Cypress Creek in their previous matchup back in March as they fell 7-3. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
